“Rob is an excellent contractor to work with. He has a great group of subcontractors, he continuously was giving updates on the status & timeline of the work and our new garage is exactly what we were hoping for. His estimates on the cost were very accurate and he handled any changes in the plans seamlessly. I would highly recommend Gilchrist Remodeling.”
“Mr. Gilchrist was enthusiastic about our bathroom remodeling project. He was very respondent and creative dealing with the nuances of our bathroom and changes in the project scope. He also provided guidance for us on where to purchase cabinets and bathroom hardware. We are very happy with the job that Mr. Gilchrist did and his courteous nature and professionalism. We certainly would work with him again on future projects.”
“Rob was great! He respected our timeline and was very accommodating. He listened to what we needed and was able to deliver with great results. The painters that he contracted were equally awesome.”
“Very pleased with the timeliness and quality of the remodel. Mr. Gilchrist went above and beyond expectations. When done for the day, things were neat, cleaned up and ready for the next day’s work. We are extremely happy with our remodel and would recommend Gilchrist Remodeling to everyone. It was the most stress free experience yet and we have done other remodeling. Thank you.”
“Honest, reliable, reasonable pricing. Very easy to work with. Did a great job. Would recommend to anyone!”
“He does good work and I would recommend him. This job was done when he was first going into business and I don’t know if he had done a job this large before. He has a lot of help and a lot of mentors and he knows exactly where to go to get answers.”
“My girlfriend and I had just purchased my parents home, and while the house had not been abused, it was certainly neglected over the years. We set about finding a contractor who could help us in bringing the home out of the 70s and into something more in line with today’s style. Being first time homebuyers and hearing some of the horror stories out there regarding shady contractors, we were certainly apprehensive about the whole hiring process.
The owner, Rob Gilchrist, personally came to our home to give us an estimate. Right off the bat he was friendly and courteous and certainly seemed knowledgeable. Based on our review of several contractors (and we did contact no less than four others), we chose Gilchrist Remodeling based on our comfort with the owner and the value provided in his estimate.
We couldn’t be happier with our decision. Rob and his team did a phenomenal job remodeling our entire kitchen, painting, installing new windows, and refinishing all of our hardwood. This was by no means an easy job as it involved the removal of load bearing walls and creating an entirely new upper floor layout. Rob was great throughout the entire process, and you can tell that he clearly enjoys what he does for a living. Even during the remodel he was more than happy to accommodate additional requests as well as modifications to our original plan. He even helped us with a couple of other minor issues we were having that were totally unrelated to our contracted project! We were pleasantly surprised that they took the time to not only work with us during the project, but by giving us tips and pointers as to how to tackle future projects with thehouse. They even took the time to show my girlfriend (who is a big fan of HGTV and the like) proper tiling technique for when we try our own DIY on our bathroom.
Towards the end of the project Rob followed up with us personally several times to make sure that every aspect of the work was to our liking. The transformation was truly amazing. I feel like with Rob we found not only a great contractor/remodeling business, but a friend as well. Gilchrist Remodeling certainly deserves my highest recommendation, and I would be happy to provide a reference for them anytime.”
